Job Summary:

MacGregor Black is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Technician to join our team in a permanent role based in Cwmbrân. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems and contributing to the delivery of our company's vision and strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned maintenance, breakdowns, and line change-overs to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the engineering department's vision and strategic plan, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the planning and execution of capital engineering projects, ensuring alignment with company policies and statutory regulations.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of factory-wide systems, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations related to health, safety, and environment.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to identify and address opportunities for improvement within the engineering environment, driving continuous improvement and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance and engineering, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Apprenticeship-trained or equivalent experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
