Job Overview:

Are you a certified Electrical Systems Maintenance Specialist with experience in commercial upkeep? Are you seeking an organization that provides opportunities for skill enhancement and professional development?

Our client is in search of a skilled Electrical Systems Maintenance Specialist who has a background in commercial settings, performing comprehensive electrical maintenance and minor repair tasks. This position operates on a shift basis with a schedule of 4 days on, 3 days off, followed by 3 days on and 4 days off. Compensation Package:
  • Annual Salary: £41,000
  • Static position
  • Shift pattern: 4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 4 off
  • Working hours: 6am to 6pm
  • No on-call duties
  • Annual leave entitlement: 20 days
  • Pension Scheme

Qualifications and Requirements:

While specific qualifications are preferred, candidates with substantial hands-on experience will also be considered.
  • N V Q Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3
  • N V Q Level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology (including A M2, E C S, Gold Card, C& G 2391 Testing & Inspection) is the ideal qualification
  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installations
  • City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (B S 7671:2018) - the 17th edition is an older version but may still be accepted by some employers
  • P A T testing certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lighting maintenance - including lamp and ballast replacements
  • Emergency lighting inspections
  • Power distribution management
  • Electrical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis
  • Minor installations - new sockets, lighting, and circuits
  • P A T Testing
  • Maintenance of control panels
  • Transformer upkeep
  • Star Delta Starter maintenance
