Job Summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to provide support to children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in schools across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health support to children with SEMH needs, working closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Work with children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex learning disabilities, and those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), providing tailored support to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with the local authority and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting children with SEMH needs.
  • Use effective behavior management techniques to create a positive and supportive learning environment, inspiring and motivating children to achieve their best.
  • Support the personal and academic development of children, helping them to build self-esteem and develop a love for learning.
Requirements
  • A compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • A firm belief in every student's ability to make significant progress, regardless of their background or circumstances.
