Job Summary:

Housing and Support Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Family Assessment Worker to join our team. As a Family Assessment Worker, you will play a vital role in assessing the needs of families and providing support to ensure the safety and well-being of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments of families to identify their strengths and challenges, and develop effective intervention plans to address their needs.
  • Observation and Recording: Observe and record family interactions, child behavior, and parental motivation to inform assessment and intervention decisions.
  • Service Provision: Provide a service that values and respects the strengths, experiences, and backgrounds of families, and promotes their independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings to review and develop practices and provision within the Centre, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Feedback and Communication: Provide structured feedback to parents during and at the end of each shift, and communicate effectively with managers and other agencies as required.
  • Childcare and Support: Assist with childcare duties as required, and provide support to families to help them meet their needs.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training and supervision to develop your skills and knowledge, and identify training courses relevant to your role and personal development.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in social work, child welfare, or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience working with families and children, and a strong understanding of child welfare and protection principles.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Working Hours: Shifts include a mixture of working 7:30am - 3:00pm and 2:30pm - 10:00pm.
