About the Role

Fugro is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workshop Technician to join our team. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for preparing, testing, and maintaining ROV systems, sub-systems, assets, and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure good safe working practices in the workshop and warehouse are upheld at all times.
  • Carry out routine preventative maintenance, equipment repair, and preparation as required on Fugro assets.
  • Ensure all testing, operations, and processes are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all documentation associated with fault repair and equipment preparation in accordance with company processes/procedures.
  • Implement and review HSE & QA procedures, work instructions, technical instructions, and maintenance guidelines.
  • Provide technical and operational support to meet business requirements as directed by Department Manager or Workshop Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering or a modern apprenticeship at a minimum of SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
  • Previous hands-on experience working with ROV Systems, possessing the ability to analyse, fault-find, and problem-solve technical engineering problems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Additional experience as a Forklift Operator, Gantry Crane Operator, or Banksman desirable but not essential.
