Job Summary
The London North West Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Vascular Scientist to join our team. As a Clinical Vascular Scientist, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical advice and support to patients and healthcare professionals.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical advice and support to patients and healthcare professionals on vascular-related matters.
- Conducting assessments and investigations to diagnose and manage vascular conditions.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Providing education and training to healthcare professionals on vascular-related topics.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant clinical experience.
- 2 years of experience at Band 6 level in respiratory, covering colorectal surgery, chronic disease management, and ITU.
- Supervision of junior physiotherapy staff.
- Experience of teaching students and peers.
- Experience of audit/research process.
Desirable Criteria
The following criteria would be advantageous:
- Previous prehabilitation experience.
- Previous experience at Band 7 level.
- Previous management of patients following colorectal surgery.
Skills
The successful candidate will need to possess:
- Competent IT skills.
- Ability to organise, prioritise, and delegate.
- Ability to appraise and develop team members through the IPR process.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
