Vetting Administrator Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Vetting Administrator to join our team at HMP Oakwood. As a Vetting Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Vetting team to deliver vetting and screening processes across the establishment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Vetting team to deliver vetting and screening processes for internal candidates and external third parties, ensuring adherence to the vetting policy.
  • Identify risks associated with candidates and liaise with the HR Manager and Vetting and Screening teams.
  • Liaise with HMPPS and Screening Teams to ensure timely completion of vetting and screening processes.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, diaries, and events to ensure individual and departmental objectives are met.
  • Provide administrative support, including supporting recruitment activities, to ensure department and business needs are met.
  • Undertake minutes of meetings, such as investigations, sickness disciplinaries, grievances, and welfare support meetings.
  • Prepare standard letters and other documentation as required.
  • Create and maintain personnel records, ensuring accuracy and currency.
Requirements:
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a high workload.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to listen to others.
  • Ability to provide concise and accurate reports.
  • Skilled in the use of IT packages, systems, and databases.
