Join Boskalis Subsea Services as a Field Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in both offshore and onshore operations. In this position, you will be the primary contact for mobilizations and demobilizations during port operations. Additionally, you will be an integral part of the offshore engineering team, providing support throughout the project execution phase. Your role encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for mobilizations and demobilizations.
  • Execute project engineering tasks as a member of the offshore project team.
  • Offer onshore assistance to projects and initiatives as necessary.

Your Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Field Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Review deck plans, lift plans, and mobilization plans prior to deployment, providing vessel-specific feedback regarding optimizations or potential challenges.
  • Lead mobilization and demobilization efforts to ensure safe and efficient operations in line with approved plans or modifications through the Management of Change process.
  • Collaborate with future project teams to address technical inquiries and facilitate the transfer of vessel-specific information, including operational preferences.
  • Identify synergies in equipment and tooling between outgoing and incoming projects to promote cross-utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure all project equipment is delivered with appropriate documentation and certification, and conduct tests prior to departure; prepare manifests for equipment return upon demobilization.
  • Oversee the certification of long-term hires or permanent project vessel equipment, and report any loss or damage to such assets.
  • Facilitate effective demobilizations, ensuring accurate manifesting of backloaded equipment in collaboration with project team members and managing cross-hired equipment.
  • Engage with the Operations Support team to keep them informed of the latest vessel deck equipment, tooling, and standard operating procedures as required.

Project Engineering Role:

The Field Engineer will also assume the responsibilities of Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer during the offshore project phase.

  • An engineering qualification (HNC or higher) or relevant experience in all aspects of the Field Engineer role.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of offshore experience within project environments.
  • Experience in the subsea industry.
  • Certifications including Opito BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS, MIST, and OGUK Medical.
