Pharmacy Technician Specialist

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Paediatric nurse to join our team as a Deputy Sister/charge nurse in Paediatric Day Surgery. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Paediatric nursing and excellent leadership skills.
Main Duties:
- Professionally accountable for maintaining standards of professional practice in line with the NMC Code of Conduct.
- Work autonomously, managing a caseload of patients within the Paediatric day surgery unit, while working as part of the multi-disciplinary team, delivering high standards of holistic care for the group of patients within their sphere of responsibility.
- Act as a clinical expert and be regularly responsible for the management and co-ordination of the clinical area and act as the day-to-day designated deputy for the Day surgery Unit.
- Ensure safe and effective clinical practice.
- Ensure the promotion and implementation of trust policies and the effective delivery of organisational objectives.

Person Specification:
- NMC Registration.
- RSCN/RN Child Branch.
- Evidence of working in speciality area.
- Experience of working in immediate post-operative recovery.
Management:
- Evidence of managing a small team.
- Supervisor/Assessor for students.
- Competent in the appraisal process.
- Managing difficult situations.
Clinical Skills:
- Drugs and IV administration competent.
- Evidence of relevant and up to date professional development.
Personal Attributes:
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Evidence of professional attitudes and behaviours.
