Grants Case Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grants Case Manager to join our team at Brook Street NMR. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of grant projects, ensuring they are delivered in line with rules and regulations.
Main Responsibilities:- Proactively manage grant projects to ensure timely delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage a caseload of grant applications, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of scheme rules and regulations, applying this expertise to make informed decisions on grant funding.
- Communicate effectively with project leads, stakeholders, and applicants, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange.
- Contribute to the production of reports on commitment and spend across the scheme.
- Represent the Grants team at stakeholder events and meetings.
- Provide support and guidance to newer team members.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including MMO, MCA, Defra Policy, and industry representatives, to build effective working relationships.
- Advise applicants on regulatory frameworks and project-specific issues.
- Work with applicants to resolve complex issues and ensure projects remain eligible.
- Maintain relationships with industry representatives and develop effective working methods.
- Encourage applications for grant funding, particularly in areas where volume targets are not being met.
- Engage with Maritime and Coastguard Agency and enforcement officers to inform monitoring and compliance activities.
- Manage projects to improve processes and guidance.
- Contribute to internal policy development and system design.
- Highlight areas for improvement and contribute to solution implementation.
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload to achieve commitment and spend targets.
- Effective communication skills, including written, verbal, and group communication.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex legislation and regulations.
- Ability to work independently to deliver results within prescribed timescales.
- Strong analytical skills to produce business-focused resolutions.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft packages, including Excel.
