Welcome to the Commercial Strategy and Planning Team at Boots, a dynamic team that drives net revenue management through price, promotion, and pack strategies across all retailers and markets. This team plays a critical role in the development of the 3-Year Plan and budget, supporting global and local transformation projects, including the launch of Sales and Operations Planning.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a UK and ROI price strategy by retailer, including average price at brand/format/SKU level relative to competition, with execution guidelines.
- Deliver local pricing KPI performance tracking, including price, margin, volume, and market share.
- Recommend the right format, pack, and price for each purchase occasion and shopper mission in every channel.
- Develop retailer-specific promotional guidelines by channel that deliver on brand objectives, fully optimized to drive improving return.
- Evaluate promotional performance and plan actions to inform future decision-making and optimized return.
- A proven track record in managing stakeholders, influencing, and driving business direction and commercial decisions.
- Highly competent in manipulating and analyzing large sets of data, with exposure to a range of analytical tools and techniques.
- Experience in presenting recommendations and solutions, as well as insights, to stakeholders who may not be analytically-minded or data-savvy.
- Knowledge of wider consumer and customer trends influencing the retail landscape and associated data sources.
- Experience working within a retail business environment, setting and tracking price and promotions, would be an advantage.
