About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our team at Nursery People, a specialist in nursery staffing. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the early experiences of young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Assume a leadership role within a dedicated room, guiding and inspiring a team of practitioners to deliver high-quality childcare and education.
    • Support and mentor team members, providing constructive feedback, and facilitating continuous professional development to enhance individual and collective skills.
  • Curriculum Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement a stimulating and innovative curriculum, ensuring alignment with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and fostering a love for learning.
  • Quality Assurance and Improvement
    • Take responsibility for the overall quality of care within the designated room, conducting regular assessments and implementing improvements.
  • Communication and Community Building
    • Cultivate strong relationships with parents and guardians through effective communication, regular updates, and organized events, fostering a sense of community.
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years Childcare recognised qualification
  • Significant experience in an early years setting, with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Thorough understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve outstanding outcomes for children
