About the Opportunity
This is a temporary, casual opportunity at a pop-up shop where you will be responsible for the successful day-to-day running of the store. Your duties will include opening and closing the store, tracking and reporting units and incoming, as well as managing volunteers and merchandising.
Occasional evening and weekend work is required to lead and support the shop. You will be working in a fast-paced retail environment, ensuring a high level of customer service and a personalized shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Opening and closing the shop.
- Tracking daily units and reporting daily numbers to the organization.
- Coordinating volunteers and retail assistants, supporting them to maintain the shop floor and assisting during busy periods.
- Merchandising and maintaining the shop floor, including bringing out fresh products.
- Ensuring a personalized customer experience with brand and product knowledge.
- Leading on achieving sales goals and targets.
- Collaborating and communicating effectively with team members, ensuring the floor is organized at all times.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in retail and merchandising.
- Experience in merchandising across retail categories such as fashion, accessories, and lifestyle.
- Experience of using digital payment systems.
- Confident leading a small team, with experience coaching and supporting individuals to thrive in their role.
- Flexible can-do attitude and a good team player, with experience in achieving individual and team targets.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
