Position Overview:

We are seeking a committed Business Continuity Specialist to enhance our operations at ION. This role involves managing the Business Continuity Planning program throughout ION Markets. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in business continuity planning, particularly within the financial services industry, and will have a comprehensive understanding of operational resilience regulations. As a vital member of the Operational Resilience team, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing strategies that bolster business resilience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Business Continuity initiatives for ION Markets.
  • Formulate proactive Business Continuity strategies and frameworks.
  • Engage with various departments to develop BC Plans that align with essential services.
  • Perform Business Impact assessments to establish priorities for BC Planning.
  • Design and manage a BC governance framework.
  • Address third-party risks within the scope of BC planning.
  • Facilitate BC plan drills and communication exercises.
  • Continuously assess and refine BC planning processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide updates on BC status and associated risks across the Markets division.
  • Generate action plans and identify potential risks in critical business operations.
  • Support risk analysis and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on matters of operational resilience and regulatory changes.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in all facets of Business Continuity Planning.
  • Practical experience with Fusion RM BCP planning and resilience tools.
  • Familiarity with UK and European regulations governing Business Continuity.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and persuasion abilities.
  • Capacity to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and enhancing BC planning initiatives.
