Compensation: Up to £60,000 based on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offering expert advice and guidance on security architecture, including operational aspects (e.g., supply chain and logistics).
- Managing both internal and external stakeholders, which includes facilitating security working groups and documenting decisions.
- Taking ownership of the delivery of project requirements and deliverables, ensuring a structured plan is established for the acceptance of security requirements, and producing the necessary documentation.
- Creating, delivering, and maintaining security-related artifacts.
- Applying a practical approach to security design in accordance with specified requirements and budget constraints.
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Comprehensive knowledge of various security frameworks and control sets.
- Understanding of risk management principles.
- Strong communication abilities with the capacity to influence and convey complex concepts.
- Solid technical understanding of security, particularly in Security Architecture.
Desirable:
- CISSP certification.
- Degree in a STEM-related field.
- Chartered Engineer status.
Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or related STEM disciplines, along with specific (academic or professional) qualifications, and should seek recognition as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate professional institution. We encourage and support engineers in achieving relevant accreditation. Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered.

About the Product Security Capability Centre Team: In this role, you will provide support to ensure the delivery of secure products both internally and for our clients. You will collaborate across all BAE Systems business units throughout the UK, engaging in a variety of unique and exciting projects, allowing you to gain experience across different products and areas. This is a remarkable opportunity to contribute to the development of a new team, enabling you to shape and influence the direction of the Capability Centre. Reporting to the Product Security Operations Manager and working alongside various teams, you will receive support for your professional development, including pathways towards Chartership status to advance your career.
