Groundworks Estimation Role

MCG Construction is seeking a seasoned Estimator to join their commercial team, responsible for estimating and managing groundworks projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all project applications are submitted in accordance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Oversee sub-contractor payments and monitor costs to maintain profitability and efficiency.
  • Complete client valuations and produce monthly applications, ensuring accurate billing and revenue recognition.
  • Pricing jobs by revenue code to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Monitor and manage costs to ensure profitability and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in a relevant field, such as construction management or civil engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in groundworks/civils estimating, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Experience in surveying, pricing, and validating subcontractor quotations, with a strong understanding of construction costs and pricing strategies.
  • Experience in measuring works, generating, and agreeing applications, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, sub-contractors, and internal stakeholders.
