Compliance Assurance Analyst

We're looking for a skilled Compliance Assurance Analyst to join our second line of defence (2LoD) team at Monzo. As a key member of our Compliance Assurance team, you'll play a crucial role in providing oversight and assurance over how Monzo manages conduct risk.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver the Compliance Assurance Plan to ensure timely delivery of compliance and conduct risk information to teams across Monzo.
- Provide support to Compliance Assurance Managers and the Compliance Assurance Team Manager, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
- Challenge policies and procedures to ensure Monzo's compliance with regulatory requirements and fair customer outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of subject matter expertise within the Risk and Compliance function, supporting Monzo's growth while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support Compliance team activities, including compliance risk assessments, methodology maintenance, and annual planning.
- Deliver high-quality reports and compliance assurance management information to various stakeholders across the business.
- Track and validate actions stemming from compliance reviews, ensuring timely closure and resolution.
- Help foster a proactive, positive culture towards regulation and legislation across Monzo.
- Design and deliver regulatory compliance training to ensure employees are equipped to meet regulatory requirements.
- Explore innovative ways to streamline, automate, and enhance Monzo's compliance approach.
- Drive continuous improvement within the function, contributing to the creation of a 'centre of excellence'.
- Practical knowledge of conduct risk and its impact on a retail bank.
- Experience working in the compliance or audit function within a regulated financial services environment, including compliance monitoring and assurance.
- Working knowledge of the Risk and Compliance function's role and responsibilities.
- A genuine interest in compliance assurance and recognition of its value as a competitive advantage in a business like Monzo.
- Excitement about the future of banking and a desire to contribute to shaping it.
This role can be based in our London or Cardiff offices, or be distributed working within the UK (with ad hoc meetings in London). We offer flexible working hours, trusting you to work enough hours to do your job well, and at times that suit you and your team. We also provide a £1,000 learning budget each year to support your professional development.
