We are seeking a dedicated and proficient Sleep and Respiratory Care Specialist to enhance our sleep service within the Hambleton and Richmondshire area. This role is pivotal in advancing our established respiratory service, ensuring high-quality patient care at the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.
The position requires a commitment to maintaining and improving standards in Sleep and Non-Invasive Ventilation care, with a focus on enhancing the quality of respiratory services for patients referred from various medical specialties, including primary care and surgical disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize telemonitoring technologies to inform clinical decisions and manage associated administrative tasks.
- Provide direct clinical oversight to a team delivering both new and follow-up services.
- Oversee a portfolio of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) patients, adhering to guidelines set by the National Institute for Healthcare Excellence and the Association for Respiratory Technology and Physiology.
- Manage and implement treatment pathways for Non-Invasive Ventilation patients, from initial outpatient consultations to ongoing care, employing telemonitoring and diagnostic methods to adjust treatment as necessary, in line with established protocols and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications
Essential
- BSc in a relevant field related to the area of specialization.
- Progress towards an MSc in a relevant area.
- NMC/HNCPC Registration.
Desirable
- Advanced Clinical Assessment Skills Level 7.
Experience

- Demonstrated ongoing professional development and current clinical practice in respiratory and sleep physiology.
- Extensive experience in providing CPAP, Non-Invasive, and Adaptive-Servo Ventilation therapies.
- Leadership experience and/or qualifications.
Desirable
- Participation in leadership and development programs.
