Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Tudor House Care Home in Selby. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, many of whom have dementia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centered care to residents, promoting their independence and dignity
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Support residents with their medication and mobility needs
- Engage with residents in activities and hobbies, promoting social interaction and well-being
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements:
- Hold a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Health and Social Care or be willing to undertake a vocational training program
- Experience working with older adults, preferably in a care setting
- Ability to provide high-quality care and support to residents with varying needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including night shifts and weekends
