Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team and take ownership of our powerful ReflectAI tracking technology. As a key member of our data science team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing algorithms to accurately calculate metrics such as total reps, rep progress, rep speed, and form quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop rules and algorithms to accurately calculate metrics such as total reps, rep progress, rep speed, and form quality by analyzing the outputted coordinations.
  • Utilize statistical analysis techniques to minimize inaccuracies when dealing with complex occlusion scenarios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into our product.
  • Design and implement experiments to validate the effectiveness of our tracking technology.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality documentation of our data science processes and results.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a data scientist within a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with basic coding in Kotlin or Java.
  • Experience using MediaPipe, MoveNet, or other machine learning models, ideally pose estimation.
  • Experience with feature extraction from time-series or sequential data.
  • Ability to develop and implement algorithms for real-time data processing and analysis.
  • Strong foundation in linear algebra, geometry, and basic calculus.
  • Good understanding of probability and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in using JIRA or other project management tools.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, particularly in effectively and clearly explaining technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
  • Experience collaborating in Agile Scrum teams.
  • Experience coding in Kotlin.
  • Passion for fitness, ideally with experience building fitness products and working out.
