We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of our service delivery team, ensuring that our services are delivered to the highest standards and that our customers receive excellent service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of our service delivery team, ensuring that our services are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Manage the frontline collection service, supervising up to 60 employees and ensuring that our services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Manage staff usage and agency costs, ensuring that our resources are used effectively and efficiently.
  • Investigate safety incidents, underperformance, and disciplinary incidents, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain a motivated team that constantly meets operational and performance objectives.
Requirements
  • Ability to engage with residents and work with the local client.
  • IOSH Managing Safely/NEBOSH.
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety in a delivery and waste collection environment.
  • Experience in training staff and delivering toolbox talks, e.g. manual handling trainer.
  • Strong people management and team leadership skills.
  • Driving Licence.
  • Waste and/or Fleet management experience.
  • Previous use of digital systems to manage services & people - Desirable.
  • Level 5 Leadership & Management or equivalent work experience, Transport CPC, COTC/CMS - Desirable.
