Job Summary:

The University of Nottingham is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Primary and Partnerships Officer to join its Widening Participation and Outreach team. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with young people, increase their awareness and understanding of higher education, and support their aspirations for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver outreach programmes to local primary schools, working closely with colleagues and partner organisations.
  • Support the development of innovative activities and events to engage young people in learning and increase their awareness of higher education.
  • Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, including primary school teachers, parents, and community leaders.
  • Contribute to the development of the University's outreach strategy and ensure alignment with the Widening Participation and Outreach team's goals.
  • Travel to local primary schools and partner organisations, using a vehicle and driving licence.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiasm for working with young people and a strong understanding of the importance of outreach and engagement in widening participation.
  • Relevant experience in education, community development, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to develop effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and locations.
  • Excellent IT skills, with the ability to use a range of software applications and tools.

Working Arrangements:

The role is based at the University's King's Meadow Campus, with a hybrid working arrangement that balances time spent on campus, in schools, and working from home. The team supports flexible working, with occasional evening and weekend events.
