Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an ASU Practitioner. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience of ASU care, telemedicine, brain imaging, thrombolysis, and thrombectomy. They will be responsible for delivering high-quality, safe, and person-centered care, and will play a key role in the teaching and education of junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and person-centered care
  • Have in-depth knowledge and experience of ASU care, telemedicine, brain imaging, thrombolysis, and thrombectomy
  • Be involved in the teaching and education of junior staff
  • Support the phase one implementation of thrombectomy

Requirements:

  • Be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Have completed all Stroke specific training
  • Be competent to order brain imaging in line with local policy
  • Be competent to manage CVAD
  • Have extended stroke skills and knowledge
  • Have experience in screening TIA referrals deciding on the most appropriate pathway
  • Have experience of undertaking training sessions to nursing staff, students, and ANPs

33.75 hours per week
