About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Future Inn Plymouth. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of your shift, ensuring both restaurant and banqueting services are running effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Head Chef in their absence and take charge of the kitchen
  • Plan and implement menus, ensuring high-quality dishes are consistently delivered
  • Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
  • Monitor and control kitchen inventory, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in a hotel or high-volume restaurant environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality food
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work varied shifts and respond to changing circumstances
