About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Catering Manager to join our team at Chartwells. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our catering services, ensuring that we deliver exceptional food and customer service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Supervision: Supervise and manage a team of catering staff to ensure that they are providing impeccable food and customer service.
- Operations Management: Oversee the efficiency of all in-unit operations, including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction.
- Communication: Communicate regularly with your line manager to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets, and to ensure that you are meeting the expectations of the business.
- Brand Representation: Represent Chartwells and Compass Group UK&I in a professional and positive manner, maintaining a strong brand image and reputation.
- Service Development: Identify opportunities for new service concepts to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction, and work with the team to implement these concepts.
- Customer Liaison: Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure that we are exceeding customer expectations and delivering a high-quality service.
- Training and Development: Support and train the catering team, leading from the front to ensure that everyone has the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their role.
- Health and Safety: Implement and review Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance across all catering and service teams.
Requirements
- Passion for Food and Service: Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service, and have a minimum of two years of management experience within a similar sector or industry.
- Management Experience: Have experience managing teams in a similar role, and demonstrate brilliant financial acumen.
- Communication and Organisational Skills: Have excellent communication and organisational skills, and be an ambitious and motivated individual who is always looking to upskill.
