In this essential position, you will manage the pricing framework for all garage-related products, including tyres and components. Your knowledge will be vital to the success of our commercial planning team and the organization as a whole, ensuring our ongoing growth and leadership in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the comprehensive execution of tyre pricing strategies.
- Deliver insights to shape pricing strategies effectively.
- Conduct web scraping to collect competitive pricing data.
- Maintain critical data repositories for tyre pricing, including cost price averaging, catalogues, and competitor pricing.
- Facilitate tyre pricing discussions with senior management, providing recommendations and documenting outcomes.
- Implement tyre price adjustments for both retail and wholesale sectors, and assist with fleet pricing modifications.
- Utilize Excel and SQL to model various scenarios, assessing the impact of proposed changes on sales, profitability, and market share.
- Ensure our pricing administrator updates websites with precise tyre pricing information.
- Generate analyses on trials and pricing adjustments as part of post-implementation evaluations.
- Examine cost price fluctuations to achieve margin targets.
- Enhance processes across value management practices, aligning with retail operations where feasible.
- Automate data processes to minimize manual intervention.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Pricing Management: Demonstrated experience in overseeing product pricing, ideally within the automotive or retail sectors.
- Data Analysis: Skilled in handling extensive datasets to inform data-driven decisions.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with experience in data analysis and visualization. Proficient in analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to accuracy in pricing, data management, and analysis.
- Automation and Process Enhancement: Background in automating data processes and refining pricing methodologies.
