Position Description

As a Bioinformatics IT Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our research and development initiatives. You will work closely with our team of experienced bioinformaticians to develop and implement bioinformatics tools and algorithms for the improvement of processes in support of molecular assay development. Your expertise will be essential in managing and analyzing large-scale genomic, transcriptomics, or other biological datasets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and document bioinformatics tools for process improvement
  • Manage and analyze genomic, transcriptomics, or other biological datasets
  • Implement and optimize algorithms for data processing and analysis
  • Develop and maintain databases and web-based tools for data storage and retrieval
  • Provide IT support for bioinformatics infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to bioinformatics tools and systems
  • Become a knowledge expert for bioinformatic workflows and coach colleagues
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field. Your expertise should include programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Perl, as well as familiarity with version control systems and experience in the analysis of genomics data.
