About the Role: Our client, a respected and innovative Chartered Accountancy Firm, is seeking to appoint a Senior Client Accountant to their Accounts division. This role is ideal for an individual with the expertise and ambition to contribute to the firm's steady growth.

Reporting Structure: The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager and Directors, providing a unique opportunity to cultivate enduring relationships and serve as a key Business Advisor and primary contact for numerous clients.

Ideal Candidate Profile: This position is well-suited for a part-qualified ACCA or an individual with relevant experience in a UK Accountancy Practice, possessing around four years of experience. A proactive, client-oriented mindset and a commitment to personal development are essential. Candidates at the finalist level who are nearing qualification will also be considered and can receive support for their examinations.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of intricate and advanced financial statements, alongside the review of simpler year-end accounts using FRS 102/105 for a diverse portfolio of limited companies.
  2. Oversight of all company secretarial duties and providing assistance to junior staff.
  3. Support the firm in compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
  4. Engagement in business advisory tasks, including providing technical and software assistance to clients.
  5. Creation of both technical and topical articles to enhance personal and firm visibility.
  6. Reviewing client ledgers as assigned, ensuring budget adherence and invoicing accuracy.
  7. Training, mentoring, and guiding junior team members.
