Job Title: North Sea Portfolio Trader

Phillips 66 is seeking a highly skilled North Sea Portfolio Trader to join our Global Crude Trading team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and delivering value for our refining system, optimizing supply of advantaged feedstocks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize crude oil supply and trading activities.
  • Collaborate with the Global Sweet Crude traders and the London Crude team to drive growth and diversification of trading activity.
  • Manage market structure and price risk for our refining system cargos.
  • Support existing Europe crude derivatives book and drive value from BFOETM optionality.
  • Drive value from P66 crude exports position and assist in the development of US exports physical activity in Europe.
  • Work with the Market Strategist and global crude and products traders to analyze market trends and develop trading strategies.
  • Partner with Market Analysis to develop P66 Market Analysis capability.
  • Assume shared responsibility for Atlantic Basin (North Sea) book position and P&L.
  • Liaise with other departments such as risk, contracts, finance and IT to support global crude trading growth.
Requirements:
  • Hold the legal right to live and work in the UK on a permanent basis without restriction or meet the criteria for employer sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role with a proven track record of earnings.
  • Internal Only: Must have attended and passed the Phillips 66 Trader Assessment Course.
Preferred Skills:
  • Proven track record of success in both crude physical and derivatives trading.
  • An appetite for risk.
  • Ability to deal with stress and an extremely hectic working environment.
  • Creativity and ability to liaise with different individuals with different styles effectively.
  • Knowledge of vanilla derivatives concepts and ability to learn and understand more complex derivative concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Platts Europe Crude Pricing Mechanism.
  • Understanding of US Crude exports and infrastructure.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Financial, economic, and statistical analysis and/or modeling experience.
  • Outstanding MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of macroeconomic business environment drivers.
  • Strong commercial acumen and quick thinking.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong desire for personal learning and sharing of skills with others; team player.
