Position: Industrial Electrical Technician
Hourly Compensation: £18.37 per hour (plus benefits)
Working Hours: 47.5 hours per week, 7.00am to 5.00pm
Location: Darrington Quarry, with responsibilities across various sites.
This role as a Qualified Industrial Electrical Technician offers a dynamic and engaging work environment, providing the chance to work on diverse machinery and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting effective planned maintenance activities.
  • Performing remedial repairs following routine statutory electrical assessments.
  • Responding to emergency breakdown situations.
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Implementing temporary fixes and permanent solutions to ensure operational continuity.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience with a variety of electrical equipment.
  • Knowledgeable about the Electricity at Work Act.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with both mobile and fixed industrial plant.
  • Qualified to City & Guilds or ONC standard, with a solid understanding of BS7671 18th edition.
  • Proficient in PLCs, inverters, drives, and motor control circuits.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical issues.
