About the Role

We are seeking Support Workers / Intervenors to join our Intervenor Service in the Hertfordshire area, working across the area of Hemel Hempstead. As a Support Worker - Intervenor, you will provide 1:1 support to children and adults who have been born with sight and hearing impairments - known as congenital Deafblindness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist support to individuals with dual-sensory impairments, often combined with other disabilities.
  • Promote personal and social development, encouraging independence through enabling access to activities.
  • Receive specialist training in how to support individuals with dual-sensory impairments.
  • Use your own vehicle, with a full UK license, to support individuals in their daily lives.
Requirements
  • No existing professional care experience is required.
  • A full UK license and use of your own vehicle are essential.
Working Hours

We are currently recruiting for bank/relief Intervenor's. There may be an opportunity for permanent roles where required across the service, based on the needs of the individual/s we support. The following hours are currently available in Hemel Hempstead, but may be subject to change:

  • (Adults) 2 hours per week
  • (Adult) 3 hours per week
  • (Young person) 3 hours per week
