What We're Looking ForWe're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Zonal Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff to deliver high-quality care and support services to young people in our care. You will work closely with our Service Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our services, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures, staff supervision, and quality assurance.

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the well-being and safety of young people
- Supervise and support staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care and support services
- Conduct regular probation and appraisal reviews to monitor and address staff performance
- Ensure the implementation of all designated areas of the young person's pathway plan in accordance with Leaving Care Regulations
- Manage allocated budgets, finance, petty cash, and expenditure in accordance with the Company's financial policies and procedures
- Ensure the health and safety of all young people, staff, and members of the public by conducting and responding to regular hazard and risk assessments
- Quality assure and conduct risk assessments in respect of any activity undertaken by the young person or staff in relation to their duties
- Ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times with regards to organizational policies in respect of young people and staff
We're looking for someone with a genuine commitment to the welfare of Looked After Children. You should have a strong understanding of the Children Act 1989/2004, Leaving Care Act 2000, and other relevant legislation. You should also have experience of working with children and young people, preferably in a residential care setting. A sound knowledge of child development and safeguarding is essential. You should be able to work flexibly and respond to the needs of the unit and young people. Good communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.
