Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Zonal Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support services to our young people. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team of staff, ensuring their training, development, and well-being
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support services to our young people
  • Developing and implementing individual and team learning and development plans
  • Managing budgets, finance, and petty cash
  • Ensuring the implementation of all designated areas of the young person's pathway plan
  • Conducting regular probation and appraisal reviews
  • Ensuring the health and safety of all young people, staff, and members of the public

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential care, a commitment to anti-oppressive practice, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work flexibly, respond to changing circumstances, and prioritize the welfare of our young people at all times.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • NVQ Level 4/5 Residential or Leaving Care Management or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Children Act 1989/2004 and Every Child Matters
  • Experience of managing a team of staff in a residential care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing circumstances
