Design Engineer

Premier Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team in a permanent capacity. As a Product Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of our products, working closely with our manufacturing team to bring innovative designs to life.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop new products using CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Produce technical drawings and fabrication drawings to meet bespoke requirements
- Communicate directly with clients to determine design requirements and specifications
- Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure smooth production processes
- Be involved in the final assembly of products and ensure quality control
- Create documentation for design, project reports, and plans
- Update 3D models and drawings as required
- Check drawings for sign off and ensure accuracy
- Work collaboratively with a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
- Degree qualified in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
- Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering processes and materials
- Previous work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Experience working with metal, wood, and extruded materials
- Hands-on technical experience through your course
- Able to work to specific requirements and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
