Exciting Opportunity for a Sales and Customer Service Specialist

We are pleased to present a rewarding opportunity for a driven Sales and Customer Service Specialist to join our client, a reputable supplier within the construction sector. This multifaceted role not only offers the potential for commission earnings but also involves managing key accounts while seeking new business prospects.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will oversee the entire order process, from initiation to completion, ensuring effective communication with suppliers and providing updates to customers. This position requires collaboration within a small office team and may involve supporting warehouse operations as needed. There is potential for this role to evolve into a Field Sales Representative position in the future.

Compensation:

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 plus commission, pension plan, and bonus eligibility after one year of service.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM; Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. This is an office-based position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture profitable relationships with existing accounts and key clients.
  • Foster strong working relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Proactively reach out to potential clients while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, aiming to surpass regional sales targets.
  • Enhance the company's visibility within the industry to promote all product offerings.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services to address individual customer needs effectively.
  • Facilitate seamless communication across departments and other locations.
  • Collaborate with all internal departments, managing processes from point of sale to final delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with the supplier network.
  • Achieve targeted growth and profit margins.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, based on experience and training.

Essential Skills:

  • Outstanding negotiation and customer service abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Sage 50 Accounts is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills and situations.
  • A valid driver's license is required, as some deliveries may be part of the role (company vehicle provided).
