Senior Trust Consultant

Kreston Reeves is seeking a Senior Trust Consultant to enhance our team, managing a varied array of trust clients. Our department provides comprehensive trust services, catering to a diverse clientele including trusts, estates, private charities, individual clients, and family offices.

In this role, you will work closely with the London Trust Team, Personal Tax division, clients, HMRC, solicitors, and other professional entities. Your ability to take initiative and manage your responsibilities based on prior experience will be essential for success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare documentation for trusts, estates, and probate, including necessary returns and financial statements
  • Complete Inheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) forms as required
  • Provide guidance to clients regarding trust liquidation, income distributions, and tax obligations
  • Oversee the progress of tasks, update job workflows, and maintain effective communication with clients and team members
  • Propose enhancements to internal processes, assist in their implementation, and stay informed on current tax regulations
  • Ensure trusts are properly registered with the Trust Registration Service (TRS) and support the team in achieving departmental financial objectives

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in trust services
  • Membership in STEP or a commitment to pursue this qualification
  • Interest in or currently studying for accountancy or tax qualifications, with our full support for your educational journey
  • Experience in probate and estate matters is advantageous, as training will be provided
