High Net Worth Underwriter Opportunity

We are working with a leading UK insurance brand to recruit a High Net Worth Underwriter to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting Art and Private Client products, working across both direct and broker distribution channels, and Household, Motor and Travel insurance policies.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful and growing insurer, with a wide range of development opportunities on offer, and the chance to work with a brand new, state-of-the-art underwriting platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work towards set targets each month, including profitability, GWP, conversion and retention, amongst others.
  • Develop sales skills and appreciation of sales and underwriting strategy, in collaboration with wider teams and regions.
  • Effectively negotiate with both internal and external parties, and identify points of contact within brokers.
  • Challenge non-standard underwriting decisions, leveraging the expertise of Product Specialists and Underwriting Managers.
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvements and drive profitable growth.
Key Requirements
  • Previous experience within Personal Lines Underwriting is essential.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills are required.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
