About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Care Support Specialist to join our Residential Care team at Longhurst Group. As a Care Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our customers to achieve their outcomes and maintain their independent living.
Key Responsibilities
- Enable individuals to maximise their independence within their homes and the local community.
- Promote and enable individual choices in the support provided.
- Provide personal care to our customers, ranging from hygiene, dietary through to financial.
- Maintain and respect all peoples' choices, privacy, confidentiality, dignity, and independence, treating them as individuals.
- Ensure that people are fully involved in identifying their own needs and planning their own support.
About You
We are looking for an empathetic individual with a natural flair in building relationships, who is non-judgemental and has a 'can do' attitude. This role would be great for applicants interested in developing skills in working with individuals who have learning disabilities support needs. We actively welcome applicants who are new to care and will provide full training for this role.
