About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to lead our dedicated Stroke team at Fairfield General Hospital. If you possess a passion for making a tangible difference in the lives of stroke patients and thrive in a collaborative environment, this opportunity is for you.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical guidance and support to fellow Occupational Therapists, the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT), and patients within your caseload.
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and continuous development of our Stroke team's services, ensuring they align with best practices and patient needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for stroke patients, promoting their functional independence and well-being.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care that addresses the diverse needs of stroke survivors.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a supportive and learning-oriented environment.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and research endeavors within the Stroke team.

Your Qualifications

  • A recognized degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Significant post-registration experience, with a proven track record of success in stroke rehabilitation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the assessment and treatment of patients with neurological conditions.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
