Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Financial Planning Assistant to join our team at Blakemore Recruitment. As a Junior Financial Planning Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our Paraplanners and contribute to the delivery of high-quality financial planning services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Letter of Authority (LOA) Management
    • Send LOAs to providers and monitor progress of recent LOA submissions and obtain plan information.
  • Research and Data Collection
    • Provide high-quality research and administrative support to the Paraplanners, including contacting providers to obtain and compile accurate policy information.
    • Record policy information accurately into Provider Information Forms and Curo.
    • Undertake research for asset allocation on existing client portfolios using FE Analytics and our in-house research tools.
    • Undertake whole-of-market research for protection and annuity quotes.
    • Prepare pension illustrations.
    • Conduct pension transfer analysis using SelectaPension.
  • Client Communication and Relationship Building
    • Speak regularly with advisers, Paraplanners, and CSAs to keep them up to date with advice in the pipeline.
    • Build strong and effective working relationships with other teams in the firm and third-party product providers.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Ensure that all client records and data are maintained accurately.
    • Construct model portfolios as required on relevant platforms.
    • Opportunity to draft simple advice letters and prepare tax calculations (outside of CGT) under supervision from a Paraplanner Manager.
