Van Driver Job Description

Somerset Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Van Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a motor vehicle to transport patients and residents to various destinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
  • Assist patients and residents with entering and exiting the vehicle
  • Ensure passengers are safely seated and secured
  • Document bus trips and mileage
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks
Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle loading and unloading procedures
  • Ability to lift and maneuver materials up to 80 pounds
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work effectively with residents and staff
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Experience in long-term care
