Position Overview

SR2 is seeking a Senior Platform Architect to join our esteemed client, recognized as a leading technology firm in the UK.

This organization is a pivotal partner of industry giants, collaborating with over 50,000 enterprises worldwide.

Work Arrangement: Remote

Compensation: £80,000 - £90,000 plus attractive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In your role as the Senior Platform Architect, you will collaborate closely with both the platform and development teams to ensure timely delivery of critical projects.
  • You will not only engage directly with technology but also serve as a primary leader and point of contact for technical guidance within the platform team.
  • Your contributions will include the development of high-quality, thoroughly tested, and peer-reviewed solutions.
  • Identify and integrate innovative technologies that enhance delivery speed, security, and platform observability.
  • Establish best practices and steer the technical vision of the platform.
  • Foster a collaborative environment within your team to achieve departmental quality benchmarks.
  • Guide and mentor junior to mid-level engineers as the team expands.
  • Work alongside your team to devise solutions for client challenges and pinpoint increments that facilitate the earliest possible value delivery.
  • Proactively identify and document operational issues, alerting relevant teams to minimize customer impact.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Managers and the Head of Platform to introduce beneficial innovations for the broader organization.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Azure and Azure DevOps.
  • Expertise in managing public cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Solid understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Programming skills in C# or Python are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • A background in fast-paced work environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AZ-400 Microsoft Certification.
