Job Title: Project Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Technical Global Solutions in London. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day commercial and contract activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee all commercial functions related to the project, including contract administration and change management.
  • Negotiate subcontract orders, securing favorable terms with subcontractors and ensuring competitive pricing and terms.
  • Assist in creating and managing financial plans for projects, conducting feasibility studies to assess project viability.
  • Validate and approve subcontractor interim applications and final submissions, ensuring compliance with the Construction Contracts Act.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports for review by senior management and present financial performance and projections to Project Directors.
  • Submit accurate and timely Monthly Valuations to maintain cash flow and ensure all supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Negotiate, draft, and submit Final Accounts, including claims for loss and expense, delay and disruption, and time extensions.

Requirements:

  • Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying & Construction Economics or an equivalent degree recognized by professional bodies such as the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland (SCSI) or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • Strong numeracy and report writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Process-oriented with a focus on results.
  • Strong attention to detail.
