About the Role:
Join our Firmware Design team based in Brighton. You'll collaborate with diverse teams across our development organization to design and refine firmware for our products, creating scalable and optimized embedded software solutions.
- Translate project requirements into effective firmware solutions across our range of wireless door locks, readers, controllers, and peripherals.
- Develop new and modify existing firmware architectures for various technologies, including embedded Linux, ARM Cortex-A and M, RTOS, BLE, Zigbee, RFID, UARTs, video, audio, and more.
- Collaborate with Electronics, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams to propose solutions and identify potential risks.
- Interface with Application Software to optimize product performance and provide pre and post-production support.
- Design, test, and debug existing firmware products.
- Communicate progress and issues clearly through technical updates to project teams.
- Participate in technical forums and contribute to decision-making processes to ensure task progression.
- Share technical changes with the team and assist other team members in their deliverables.
- Adhere to company design processes and procedures.
- Evaluate the suitability of third-party and open-source software.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong collaboration, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Systems and extensive experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in relevant Agile methodologies, IDEs (Keil Studio, Eclipse, Visual Studio), and programming languages (C, C++, & Python).
