Lead Commercial Growth for Science Discovery Centre

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned business leader to take on the day-to-day leadership of a highly-regarded and successful Science Discovery Centre. With a strong commercial outlook and experience in the science industry, the appointee will be responsible for devising, developing, and promoting policies and objectives for the efficient operation and further development of Catalyst.

Reporting to the Chair and supported by a diverse and highly committed Board of Trustees, the appointee will be an exemplary relationship builder, have strong financial understanding, and be a skilled negotiator. With a flexible and pragmatic approach, the appointee will possess outstanding people and communication skills, along with a passion and commitment to deliver the organisation's future.

Candidates should demonstrate a track record of strong commercial experience, ideally within the science industry, along with the ability to contribute strategically and develop strong teamwork with a high level of integrity. With a demonstrable track record of relationship-building at the highest level, both internally and externally with all key stakeholder groups, the appointee will demonstrate tenacity, 'presence', and strong financial awareness coupled with exemplary communication & presentation skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing commercial strategies to drive growth and revenue
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors and partners
  • Leading the development of policies and objectives for the efficient operation and further development of Catalyst
  • Managing and developing a high-performing team to achieve business objectives
