We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Fawkes & Reece South, a leading main contractor in the UK. Our company has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors, including logistics, industrial, mixed-use residential, and commercial.

About this Quantity Surveyor Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing various sub-contract packages from procurement to final account. You will work closely with our Commercial Lead to ensure smooth project execution and contribute to monthly Cost Value Reports (CVRs).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in pre-construction activities to ensure project feasibility and budgeting.
  2. Procure and manage sub-contract packages, including negotiations and contract administration.
  3. Handle variations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  4. Prepare and finalize accounts, ensuring compliance with JCT forms of contract.
  5. Conduct monthly CVRs to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  1. 3-5 years of experience in a Surveying role, preferably in a main contracting environment.
  2. Strong understanding of JCT forms of contract and their application in project management.
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing sub-contract packages and ensuring project profitability.
