Role: Early Years Domestic Support Assistant

Salary: £23, - £23, (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 8 per week, 38 weeks sessional

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking dedicated Early Years Domestic Support Assistants to work within our nursery environment, focusing on providing essential meal support for children. The role is term-time only, with scheduled hours from 11am to 1:00pm, Monday through Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals for children.
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic environment during meal times.
  • Support the overall wellbeing of children in the nursery setting.

This position involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults as outlined by the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. Candidates will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme check or update. Additionally, an Overseas Criminal Record Check may be necessary for individuals who have lived outside the UK for an extended period in the last five years.
