As a Registered Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Creating Individualized Care Plans:
Ensure that each young person has a personalized plan addressing their care, educational, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
Building a Strong Team:
Collaborate with recruitment teams to attract the right talent for your home. Facilitate company induction and personal development plans to maintain a stable team for the young individuals.
Encouraging Young People's Voices:
Establish systems to involve young people in discussions about their care.
Assigning Key Workers:
Designate a Key Worker for each young person to implement their care plan effectively.
Upholding High Standards:
Monitor and maintain high-quality care standards in accordance with national regulations and the home's objectives.
Addressing Complaints and Concerns:
Take charge of resolving any complaints or safeguarding issues that arise.
Collaborating with Stakeholders:
Work alongside parents, guardians, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young individuals.
Participating in Meetings:
Engage in childcare planning and review meetings as necessary.
Fostering a Safe Environment:
Ensure that the children in your care receive the highest standard of support.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a role related to residential care for children, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity within the last 5 years.
Qualifications:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or a commitment to obtain it within 6 months of employment.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with quality standards, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
Skills:
Proficient in planning, organization, budget management, resource allocation, and team leadership.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding Trauma:
Awareness of the needs of children with emotional, behavioral, and social challenges, including managing difficult behaviors.
Driving License:
A full UK driving license is required.
