Linguistics Graduate Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Linguistics graduate to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to gain valuable experience working with students who speak English as an Additional Language.

About the Role

As a Linguistics Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Inclusion Manager and class teachers to monitor and support the academic, social, and personal progression of students who require additional support. You will deliver targeted interventions to help students make progress in academic, social, and emotional aspects, and provide one-to-one support to students who need it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Inclusion Manager and class teachers to identify students who require additional support
  • Deliver targeted interventions to help students make progress in academic, social, and emotional aspects
  • Provide one-to-one support to students who need it
  • Monitor and track student progress
  • Collaborate with the SENCO to develop and implement strategies to support students with special educational needs
Requirements

We are looking for a graduate with a passion for linguistics and a desire to make a difference in the lives of students. You should have previous experience working with children who have special educational needs and be able to demonstrate a passion for SEN. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
