Principal Sustainability Consultant (Whole Life Carbon)

Hoare Lea is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Sustainability Consultant to join our Sustainability Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality sustainability consultancy services to our clients, focusing on whole life carbon reduction and environmental sustainability.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and driven individual with a passion for sustainability and a strong background in whole life carbon assessment, energy strategies, and building regulations. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to lead workshops with design teams, and have a good understanding of industry-leading software and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver small-scale projects and support senior team members on large-scale projects
  • Lead workshops with clients and design teams to communicate sustainability strategies
  • Support the training and development of junior team members
  • Undertake a range of modelling and analysis, including embodied carbon of materials, circular economy opportunities, and building performance simulation
  • Support the drive towards net zero whole life carbon in our projects
  • Collaborate with other members of the Sustainability Group on research and development initiatives
